Arizona was the first state where retirement community living began.  Del Webb, now apart of Pulte Homes, was the first to start the idea of a retirement community in Arizona in 1960 in a suburb of Phoenix.

From there retirement living in Arizona took off and has continued to spread throughout other states. The most recommended city to retire in is Prescott Arizona.

This larger city has a small town feel and is located in the cool ponderosa pines in Northern Arizona.  Prescott AZ weather has a mild four seasons and offers six Prescott golf courses to it’s residents.

The Prescott National Forest nearby is also a huge draw to Prescott AZ retirees.  If you are looking for the perfect place to enjoy mild weather, great health care, and plenty of outdoor activities, Prescott AZ retirement communities are the place for you.
