Prescott 2050 Open House and Report Presentation

By tanderson • February 18th, 2009

On Sunday, February 22nd the long awaited Prescott 2050 reports will be presented to the public at the Prescott High School.  The Prescott 2050 committee was founded in an effort to involve the community in a Prescott visioning project.  Committee members were charged with the task of mapping out the future of Prescott in many different areas as they see things in the year 2050.

It’s now one year later and most of the committee reports are completed.  There are 10 final reports.

Prescottenews.com has undertaken the task of summarizing the reports in a 10 page document.  They looked at each report to determine if 2050 recommendations incur any of the following:

  • New Programs
  • New Regulations
  • New Taxes, Fees or Incentives
  • New City Expenditure

They would like to encourage community discussion and/or letters to the editor.  You can see the full document online at the Prescottenews website.
