Prescott Open Space Increased
The James Family trust recently donated land to the City of Prescott which will be designated as open space. The property closed 25 days early with an estimated value of $1.2 million. The environmental study went very well and did not hold up the process at all.
Prescott’s Parks and Recreation district is anxious to get the property ready for inclusion into the city’s public trail system. Debbie Horton, Deputy Director, recently presented a detailed plan for how the property would be used to the Prescott City Council. The trail running through the Jame Family Trust land will take you over the top of the Dells and over 360 degree views. Everyone is excited to have access to this spectacular piece of land.
The new trailhead sign was unveiled and approved and the city voted unanimously to accept the generous donation.
