Prescott Set For Fourth of July Crowd

Last year Prescott’s Fourth of July Celebration brought in over 10,000 visitors to see the spectacular fireworks!  In 2008, the city expects even more visitors for the big summer event.  With the increasing cost of fuel, families are staying closer to home for the holidays.  The City is prepared with free parking at Pioneer Park near Willow Creek Road, the ADOT lot across the street is also free.  Prescott has also made arrangements with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for overflow parking.  Free shuttles will be running continuously throughout the day and evening.

People can also go to the ERAU entrance at Willow Creek and Hass to be directed to the parking area.  This is the easiest and most convenient option.  This year the city will also have post fireworks entertainment for those who’d like to continue to enjoy the festivities as the crowd dissipates.  A live band, Distant Fury, will be playing shortly after the light show finishes.

We hope to see you there!
