Food in Prescott, AZ Goes Local

Prescott College’s Community Support Agriculture and the local Farmer’s Markets have combined in an effort to enhance the quality and quantity of local foods available to Prescott citizens and to support local Prescott farmers.  The CSA provides fresh produce to members who pre-pay to receive weekly shares.  Members can then pick up their shares each Wednesday at the Crossroads Center Cafe.

Erin Lingo, a senior at Precott College has been appointed full-time as director of this community effort.

Erin states, "Together the two organizations intend to foster a stronger connection between growers and consumers, Area residents will have greater access to safe and healthy food, keep their dollars local, and support ongoing education about the impact of buying and eating local."

As locals, you can find great, fresh local produce (meats, dairy, eggs and prepared foods) at any of the following markets:

Prescott Valley Market
