Keep your eyes and ears open - a new commercial flight direct to the Los Angeles International Airport  (LAX) may soon be available for Prescott travelers!  At a Prescott City Council study session last week, council members listened to a proposal that would attract Horizon Airlines/Alaska Air to the Prescott Airport with a direct commercial flight.  Although no votes are in, the council plans to revisit this idea on the voting agenda for the March 25th meeting this Tuesday. 

Many council members are receptive to the proposal.  Costs of the direct flight from Horizon Airlines are estimated to be competetive to the cost for currently taking a shuttle or driving to Phoenix.

One stop shopping, entertainment parks and site seeing in LA could be a front runner for your next family trip!
