Report Potholes in Prescott - Help Make Your Community Better!
The City of Prescott recently launched an innovative online interactive community reporting vehicle - the Pothole Reporting Page. It is a pilot program to gather information from Prescott citizens via an online map interface.
Google Earth will allow users to report pothole locations and click on them - this prompts a form fill for more information about the pothole. Submission causes the information to get logged into a growing database with longitude and latitude which then gets compared to the city address databases so street crews can find the location and fix the pothole. Ingenious!
The city hopes to expand this program to open space and trails in the coming months. Prescott citizens will also be able to view GIS data and 3D terrains soon.
The pilot is the first of many geared to help make the City of Prescott website a valuable, interactive tool for its citizens.
Prescott residents can still report potholes by phone: 928-777-1666.
