Prescott City Manager Makes Some Organizational Changes
City Manager, Steve Norwood, recently made some internal organizational changes in Prescott City staffing positions. Mr. Norwood hopes that the shift in employee resources will help him work toward the common goal of growing a strong, vibrant city.
Craig McConnell, Public Works Director, was recently appointed Deputy City Manager. His focus is to be smart growth and successful large scale annexations. Norwood believes that the annexation of several large tracts of land to the City is essential to overall community health and success. McConnell will manage the lengthy annexation process which requires lots of communication and cooperation from many different departments. Water Resource manager Jim Holt, and Management Analyst Connie Tucker will also assist McConnell with this effort. Since annexation is a focal point on Norwood’s road map, many resources will go toward helping to further expedite these processes.
Norwood has stated, "I truly believe that to ensure the success of our organization and our city, these changes are essential."
Wishing all these folks well in their new pursuits!
