The Chino Valley Offers Old-Fashioned Western Charm

Nestled into the Central Arizona mountains, the Chino Valley is just 15 miles North of the historic Prescott Valley.  Blessed with over 300 days of sunshine each year and a healthy rainfall for the high desert, the Chino Valley offers a mild climate and four gentle seasons.  This growing community has a rural flavor where you can find homesites up to five acres.  Farm animals are allowed so if you’ve dreamed of an Arizona Ranch, Chino may be the place for you.

Local wells provide most of the community drinking water with average well depths from 200 to 500 feet.  Agricultural water is provided by the Chino Valley Irrigation District which has a 2,500 sq ft service area.

Chino boasts two elementary schools, a middle school, high school and two state charter schools.  The valley is also home to a senior center which offers a multitude of monthly activities and events.  Other amenities include: well maintained parks, ball fields, an aquatic center, free tennis courts, a teen center and a community center.

This old-fashioned, neighborly  community is steeped with Western charm and will make you feel right at home!

Fun Fact: Chino was named in 1854 by US Army Cavalry Lt Arniel W. Whipple - "Chino" is the Mexican name for the curly grama grass that grows in the area.
